There are 2 types of lash artists:
The ones that struggle as they desperately try to get clients and marketing non-stop, and the ones that barely try and they’re swamped non-stop.
The difference between the two? One’s business focus is on themselves and the other one’s business is client-focused.
Customer service is literally, EVERYTHING.
When you try so hard to market, always giving promotions, sales, discounts, without delivering value, you’re pretty much putting a reg flag on your business. In an attempt to draw clients in, you will send a subliminal message saying: I’m desperate, please come to me, I need money so I’ll do whatever it takes, including devaluing my business with constant discounts and promotions.
I’m not saying discounts are bad. In fact, I use them for my own business. But too much of it is a red flag.
Instead of focusing so much to get clients, focus on delivering value to them. Did you take additional courses to improve your skills? Did you practice what you learned? Are you taking time to edit your pictures so that way you improve your portfolio making it more aesthetically appealing to your clients? And even once the clients come to you, are you on time? Are you going above and beyond for your clients to deliver the most amazing experience? Is your studio clean and comfortable? Are you taking the time to understand your client’s needs and desires to ensure you’re both on the same page?
Too many dedicate most of their time trying to attract new clients, instead of focusing on the existing ones. Even Instagram being free, it is very time-consuming. By delivering outstanding customer experience you will generate free marketing that requires no time or effort. Can you guess it? The old school way: word of mouth.
