How to make yourself irreplaceable amongst thousands of others, without lowering your value or undercutting.

A lot of people are discouraged in the industry. I was too! The industry is becoming saturated, more and more people are doing lashes, more and more people are educators. So how do you stand out? How do you make yourself irreplaceable amongst thousands of others, without lowering your value or undercutting?
Simple: Go the extra mile.
When you provide services, it has to look better than they’ve ever had.
When you provide customer experience, you have to be the most memorable and enjoyable experience. This alone can camouflage any “flaws” in your work. In fact, only 30% or the reason people come to you Is your skill, 70% is your personality and customer experience. Think Starbucks. Just a regular coffee, yet, we don’t wait for any other one. And believe me, it's not the coffee.
When you advertise, you need to do what everybody else isn't, what makes you memorable, and what delivers value.
My biggest advice is: Put yourself in your clients’ shoes. BE a client!
Only then will you know how to improve your service.
I started using eye pads for all of my clients for their comfort, after having my under eye skin ripped from the tape.
I started wearing a mask and mint while lashing as I had a lash artist do my lashes with stinky breath.
I created a cleaner environment for my clients after going to a dirty salon and seeing the difference of how it made me feel.
I even started covering the inner corners lashes after an artist left my inner corners unlashed!
I give credit to all my experience by being a client and observing what others do.
Write a list if you need to:
How did you feel once you entered that nail salon and nobody acknowledged your existence?
How did you feel once that hairstylist made you wait for 1hour past your appointment time?
How did you feel when that lash artist called last minute to reschedule your apt to fit someone else in, even though you were already on your way?
And more importantly? WHY are you a loyal client to all of the businesses you never “cheat" on?
Observe, learn, and apply!
